1st Scottish IBS Support Group

As the name suggests the 1st Scottish IBS Support Group was the first support group to be set up in Scotland to provide information and support to sufferers of IBS and their families and friends, and also to promote understanding of the illness amongst the general public.

Formed in June 2004, the 1st Scottish IBS Support Group is run by IBS sufferers and aims to provide effective peer support and information to anyone diagnosed as suffering from IBS.

The group is not qualified to offer medical advice or assistance and cannot replace qualified medical diagnosis and treatment, which can only be arranged by contacting your GP.

The Group is based and operates mainly in the West Lothian area and meets on the first Thursday of every month at St. John's Hospital in Livingston (see map below).
